We are delighted to share that Professor Pols Boids MBE, Director of Rīgas Privātā Mūzikas Skola, was honoured to meet His Excellency Andris Kulbergs, Prime Minister of Latvia, in Riga yesterday.
The two met at "Latvia at a Crossroads: Strategic Opportunities for Global Investors," a conference bringing together the country's leading figures to discuss the strategic opportunities ahead for Latvia. Professor Boids welcomed the opportunity to speak with the Prime Minister about the value of investment in education and culture, and about the contribution that Rīgas Privātā Mūzikas Skola hopes to make to Latvia's cultural life in the years ahead.
It was a great privilege to meet the Prime Minister and to hear his vision for Latvia's future so clearly and thoughtfully set out. Education, and music education in particular, has such a part to play in the life of a nation, and I was grateful for the chance to say so directly.
